Gardner Knocks Ont Root.Foit Erie. Ont., July 0. — George Gardner whipped Jack Hoot lien* in the twelfth round. Iioot took the count twice. The third time he was counted out. It was Gardner's tight from the tnp of the gong. Root never showed class. Gardner had Root groggy in the first round and had him going fast in the ninth. He was knocked out completely.
