Leon Hammers of West Frankfort was named most valuable pitehprBesides Hammers, twoother pitchers were named to the all-tournament team.They included Dcannie Williams of Southern Illinois Asphalt and Wally Waldman of DuBois.Others named to the alltourney team included Ed Richard. Sonny Wyatt. Glen Moore and David Touchette of Smithton Etyyl and Robbs; Charles Bennett. Terry Gossett and Dave Broy of West Frankfort; Tom Wheeler of Zeigler; Charlie Brown of DeSoto, and Mike Holstein of Dubois.
