Crowd SeesA crowd of over 300 enthusiastic boxing fans crowded the show pavilion at the 4-H Show Grounds last Thursday evening, June 28, to watch the second amateur boxing carnival of the season, sponsored by the Palo Alto County Junior Farm Bureau. Eleven three-round bouts of exceptionally well-matched boys were staged on the new ring which the Junior Farm Bureau has bought and constructed.The events were announced by Fred Goodchild of Ellington township, and were refereed by Joe Hand, Emmetsburg barber. A trio of judges composed of Paul Shain, Francis Brady andBob Donovan, of Emmetsburg,♦handed down the decisions of thebouts.This boxing entertainment is the second one sponsored by theJunior Farm Bureau, and the►next one will be held on Tuesday evening, August 21, which will be during the 4-H Achievement Show this year.
