Base Ball.By the following batting order for to-day’s game at the park, it will be seen that the Chicago Bines have almost completely changed since their former game here, retaining only Merrill, the former third baseman of the Detroit league club. They have also the former pitcher and catcher of the Detroits: F. Kenzie 2d b., Jones r. f., Meigs 1st b., W. Kenzie s. s., Meinke p., Gasttield c., Merrill 3d b., Merriam 1. f , and Long c. f. Dubuques will bat as follows: Crawford 2d b., Lear r. f., Browm 3d b., Keas p., Burns c., Ahern lstb., Taylor c. f., Stuart, s. s., andDuane 1. f.The Live Oaks play at Galena to-day.On Monday last the Kansas City club played against eighteeu local amateurs and won easily by 15 to 5.It is said that Start and Burdock will be in the Brooklyn team of 1836. Both want togo to Brooklyn.Shaw is pitchiug a very uneven game; one day being hit heavily, and the next not at all. He has not Radbourn’s faculty of pitching a good daily average.The Chicago Mirror takes exception to the Sporting Life’s account of Kennedy’s acquisition by the Chicago club. It says: “The facts in the case make a very different showing. First of all, Keokuk was not a member of the western league when Kennedy signed with Chicago. His contract bears date from June 2, and Keokuk -was admitted to the western league June 6th, four days later. Kennedy was anxious to join the Chicago club, and represented that he was wholly free to leave the Keokuk club, as the latter was in arrears to him on salary, was losing money right along, and in his opinion it was only a question of T a few days or weeks when the club woald be compelled to disband. Subsequent events show that his judgment was not far.
