Microds Open Active WeekHie heat failed to stop the Auburn Elks Microds as they ran off a series of races yesterday at the Emerson Park track. A large crowd witnessed the youngsters in action.It opened a busy week for the Microds. They will race at T p.m. Wednesday and at 2 pan. Thursday (Fourth of July).Tommy Alnutt won all the events in the novice class with Russell Larson of Geneva having the fastest time trial.In the MRU Class, Jimmy Carter had the fastest time trial, won the heat race and was second in i the feature. Jonny Christopher ofSeneca Falls won the eliminationand the .feature.Fifteen cars competed in the MRI Class Sunday. Carl Harvey had the fastest time trial in this class. Gary Yearley of Skaneateles won the first heat and came inj second in the feature. Barb Year-: ley of Skaneateles won the second,heat and the first elimination. Artie Radcliffe won the third heat.Freddie Zink won the second elimination and Ray Zink came in second in the same event. Valerie Chamberlain won the feature race and was second in the first elimination.On July 28, the Auburn Elks; MIcrod Club will be host for the Mid-Season Championship.
