A big catfish, weighing 321 - ! pounds, was caught in Bowie Lake, with a crawfish for bait on a “trot’1 line Saturday morning and was brought to the Bowie ;News office where its picture was made. Men in the picture who caught him are (left to right) E. J. Chenault oi Amarillo, Paul Turner of Bowie and W. W. Love-lady of Amarillo. E. W. Lovelady ot Eowie was also in the fish-ilfi^arty.Turner lives on his farm at ttli head of the lake and the other two men and their families were Visiting him and family. The week pievious Turner caught a lot of fish on lines set in the lake, including two that weighed IT1-pounds each, and one that weighed 231 - pounds. The fish in the above picture was caught near the dam.
