BLACK-CROW MAKES GOOD!David Cook Forges From Sixth Place j to Third in Handicap at Indianapolis, With 25 Rivals.A Black-Crow motor car driven by David Cook of Elkhart won fifth | place in the ten-mile handicap race i at Indianapolis Friday. He started from sixth because of the handicap and finished third, but was set back to fifth place in the final summing by the judges. There were twenty-six contestants.Fully three-fourths of the Elkhart factory’s 100 employes witnessed the feat, the factory having shut down for Friday, today and Monday In order to give its men a chance to attend. Cook also rode in the ten-mile free-for-all.F. Stinson, who was to drive the other Black-Crow, was out of the race because his machine had A broken, crank shaft.
