Robert Mulroney Golfing GymnastBert McGrane. Des Moines Register sports writer, who is covering the Iowa amateur tournament, reports the following of interest locally:Bob Mulroney of Emmetsburg, enroute to the state tournament, stopped off at Clear Lake for a round of golf ... hit a man-sized brassie shot on the ninth hole and parked Che hall on top of the clubhouse . . . Jim Canavan, the Spencer pro who once served at the Des Moines Golf and Country club, procured a ladder and up climbed the portly Mulroney . . . from the-clubhouse roof he played Ins third shot to the green, came down and dumped the putt.and registered a birdie on the hole. . witnesses, in addition toCanavan, were Walt Thomas and Irvin Nelson of Spencer and M. II. Ryan of Emmetsburg.
