Henri Lom-barde, Stanford'* discus throw-er. was given permisa'on to make the trip at hi* own expense.George Bresnahan, Iowa track coach, was named a* coach of the squad, which will sail Wednesday night from New York on the North German Lloyd liner Deutschland for Hamburg. They probably will fly from Hamburg to Stockholm, where the first meet is scheduled Jti'y 19 and 30. After four meets in Sweden, the *quad will go to Warsaw, Hanover (Germany), Berlin, Prague, Budanest and Pari* for other competition, re turning home Aug. 18.speed expected in the 100 meter*, came thru to win the broad Jump with a leap of 24 feet, 6% inches.Ed Gordon. C. athlete who won the Olympic discus throw, and captured the same event last night with a mark of 165 feet, 114 inches, only a little more than four feet off the world record.The women’s National A. A. U. track and field title was won by the Illinois Women's A. C, of Chicago with 45 points, in a dull meet yesterday afternoon. A re-run of the 400-meter relay race, won yesterday by the Illinois Women's A. C.
