JULY 4TH ATSAUGERTIESNight Baseball and FireworksGrover Cleveland Alexander and his original House of David, of Benton Harbor, Mich., who are playing night baseball under their own portable flood lights will play at Saugerties Athletic Field vs. the Saugerties A. C., July 4th at0:15 p. ra.The House of David carry their own portable Electric Light plant which is said to be the largest in the world on wheels. The House of David, is one of the greatest traveling ball clubs of the country, and the only reason this aggregation of star ball players are kept together, is their belief in the principles advocated by the late King Benjamin Purnell which prohibits them from trimming their beards and shearing their hair, which does not curtail their activities on the diamond, and regardless of the amount offered them to Join organized baseball not one player has ever deserted the House of David Colony at Benton Harber,Michigan.It will be a rare treat indeed for the fans of this community to Bee the be whiskered players catching line drives, making doubdo plays and driving out base hits long after the Sun has gone down. The House of David will have the same Portable Light plant they used last year so successfully in lighting every kind of a hall park from the semi-pro, to both National and American League Parks.Immediately after the ball game best displays of lire worke will be seen, the sum of $250.00 has been spent for lire works alone. It is estimated that 5,000 people will witness this celebration and ten troopers have t)eeii assigned to park your car and protect it. Nocharge for lire works or parking.
