Folk—old and young—of Calumet City, Lansing, Burnham and adjacenttowns, are eagerly awaiting July 4th when one of the biggest cele-J bratfons ever to be arranged will b* held at Calumet Memorial park.More than 5,000 people are expected to attend the event, Jamei Finneran, president of the park board, said today. He declared that unusual plans w*ere made this year to entertain visitors and town*people and that the celebrationwould be free.The program will commence at9 a. m. with a tennis tournament and end with dancing and fireworks in the evening.“We want everyone to come andhave a good time, Mr. Finneransaid. “And we believe that a good program as we have arranged will make for a safe and sane Fourth.”The following committees have been appointed:Confections, Berwanser and Steli-ing; refreshments, Hildebrand, Horst and Bonczkows-ti; fireworks,James Finneran, Berwanger andBonczkowski; dance, McKenna, Febsicki and Giewartow ski; athleticevents, Ted Fedosky.
