Resler led off the 1,600-meter relay.Also back is poie vaulter Steve Hable, who placed second in the WSUC and qualified for the national meet last season. Hable broke the school record with a vault of 15* 3” last year.“i expect Steve to qualify for the national meet again and do well,” Akin said.Jim Linstedt, the WSUC champion in the high hurdles, will lead the hurdlers. Linstedt, Steve Moran and Joe Lewis, both who have seen action in the past, are joined by freshman Dan Rabay in what Akin called a “good looking bunch of hurdlers.”Joining Ramirez, O’Hearn and Resler in the sprints are Jerry Turner and freshmen Cory Parker and Steve Dickman.Jamie Pollard, who qualified for the NCAA Division 3 national cross country meet, teams up with Ilam to make the Titans’ middle distance runners a force to be reckoned with. Freshmen Chuck Otte and Ron Schacherl will add depth.Steve Mullen, another national qualifier in cross country, will be UW-O’s top distance man. Bill Niederberger and freshmen Steve Sharp and Pete Baugnet round out the distance corps.“I’m looking forward to the season,” Akin said. “In time, we will be a good team.”
