Smoke Eaters in OsloPfi/First Tilt Wednesdaytl b s fiit!Itl1;OSLO, Norway, (AP)—Canada’s entry in the world hockey championships arrived in Oslo Monday and started a brief rest before embarking on an exhibition warm-up schedule.Members of the Trail, B.C., Smoke Eaters team landed at Fornebu airport after the flight from Montreal.Coach Bob Kromm rated Smokies a good bet to take the championship.“Naturally we expect to win the championships. I think the team we sent over this year plays the most European style hockey of any Canadian team.“We also will do a fairamount of body - checking, however,” he added.“I think our team this year is comparable to the last world championship team Canada sent out.”He said he expects the toughest opposition from the Russian, Czechoslovakians and the Swedes..lack Roxburgh, Canadian Amateur Hockey Association president who arrived with the team, described Smokies as a well - balanced club.
