In this game the winner wasn't decided Until the last few seconds of the game. The game was hard fought all the way and at no time was there more than five points difference in the score.For the winners it was Jim Fyne leading the way with 14 points. Nielsen, and Clayton scored eight and five points. D. 0. BaekUs and C. Pyne each scored four. *Sharon was led by Neel who scored 16 points. He was helped in the scoring column by Rowley and Elder who made six and four points. Sharon had trouble in making their shots except for Ray Neel.Vineyard had little trouble in overcoming a hard-fighting Beverly crew, 44-36. If Beverly had had the scoring punch the score would have been much different. Hebertson and Madsen led the way for Vineyard with 12 and 14 points. Bob Holdaway was also hitting his shots and scored eight points.Beverly played a very good game but couldn’t hit some of their shots. Parsons led the way for Beverly with 15 points. Prest-wich with his unusual running jump shot scored 10 and Salmon scored seven.The final game of the evening between Geneva and Vermont was expected to be a close one all the way but Geneva jumped off to an early lead and was never in trouble. Geneva had some very fine team work which enabled them to win an easy 50-37 victory.Geneva was led by the fine shooting of Linquist with 16 points. Carl Rowley scored 13 and Verl Allred put In eight points.For Vermont it was Ford hitting for 11 points to gain high for Vermont. S. McDonald scored nine points and Stubbs and Calder each scored six points.
