But it was a different story in the last two quarters. Sinton took the third 18-13 to lead 48-44 and the fourth quarter 13-9,Robstown hit 19 of 60 field goal attempts for 31 per cent, compared to Sinton's 25 of 55 for 45 per cent. The Pickers led in rebounds 48-34 and did better at the line. Robstown hit 15 of 24 free shots, 62 percent, compared to Sinton's 11 of 23 for 47 per cent. But it was six more field goals on the Sinton side of the scorebook that made the difference.Ronnie White of Robstown took game honors with 24 pointsto boost his season total to 251 for a 13.2 average. Things wereall even in the third, 14 points for each team, which left Robstown still ahead, 37-35, with one quarter to go. The Pickers led by seven points with fiveminutes to go.Flour Bluff tied the score at 49-49 with two minutes left and scored five points to none for Robstown to claim a 19-12 edge in the fourth quarter and a narrow victory.It was actually Flour Bluffs success at the free throw line that made the difference. The Cotton Pickers led in field goals, 21 of 68 for 30 per cent and the Hornets hit 20 of 59 attempts for 33 per cent.
