PEDRO RODRIGUEZ, FORMER CADET, TOP AUTO RACING DRIVERAn article by Frank M. Blunk in the New York Times states that Pedro Rodriguez of Mexico City, Mexico, is in the front rank of the world’s bestIracing car drivers. Pedro was a cadet here for two years, 1955-57.Rodriguez on January 2 drove a Cooper-Maserati to victory in thelSouth African Grand Brix at Johannesburg.He and his brother, Ricardo, competed for the Mexican Grand Prix before they were old enough to drive on public roads. Ricardo was killed in a practice run four years ago.Rodriguez and Phil Hill, his partner, won the 1964 Daytona, Fla., Continental.
