Mike also figured in the next two goals in the second period.1 Beautiful passes from him to the ever-hustling Joe Lanoue resulted in Joe getting two pretty goals, and Mike getting two assists to add to his goal. Ed Oram continued his heads-up goaltending in the third period to hold Woburn scoreless and earned his well-deserved shutout. Robinsons’ Raiders took the lead early in the first period when Chris Simon took a pass from Tommy Mills and went in all alone for the score after only 1:52 of the period. At the six minute mark Chris got his second of the game when he took a pass from Billy Robinson and went the length of the ice to lite the red lite and give the Acton boys a 2-0 lead. From that point in the game neither team could get one on the scoreboard although Acton carried the play most of the way.Once again it was the strong defensive play of the “Raiders” that brought them their 30th win of the year.Chuck Kostro was spec-, tacular in the Acton nets as he picked up his 12th shut-out of the year while Billy Robinson, Tommy Mills, Mike Burden andEric Gray stood out defensively.
