Midget and Juvenile. The teams are sponsored by local organizations through the Athletic Council. This council supervises die Pee Wee teams with financial akl from the Elks, Kiwanis, Legion and Chamber of Commerce. The Elks also assist in sponsoring the Bantams and the Legion, the Juveniles.A new addition this year is :he Broom ball league with two teams of boys, who are learn-1 ing to skate. These teams are named Tigers and “Lions ind they have become a popu-ar attraction at the rink. In this league the Russell Pee Wee teamare the defending champs. Due to the extreme cold weather very few games have beenplayed, but the Bantams and Juveniles have each comethrough with wing.The minor hockey organization was set-up to give every boy a chance to play in supervised hockey and to participate in the fun hockey gives. Butboys need the encouragementof their parents, and the slogan of “Take your boy to the rink — don’t send him” holds true not only for Minor Hoc-'key Week, but for the whole season.
