Childs Given the Decision.Chicago. Jan. 18.—Frank Childs, the colored champion heavy weight pugilist. won a decision over Walter Johnson. also of Chicago, before the Chicago Athletic association tonight. Six rounds were fought. Fred Russell of Denver was scheduled as Childs' opponenet, hut the management announced that Russell had quit and Johnson had been secured to take his place. The first two rounds were Johnson’s by a shade, hut after that he tired rapidly. Childs did most of the leading, hut was unable to land a knockout blow.In the preliminaries Young Sharkey of Hot Springs, Ark., and Charley Mason of Chicago fought a spirited contest to a draw.
