AND COLDER; -10 and 15GamesAwarded Half Of ’70 Hockey TournamentTORONTO (CP) — The first half of the 1970 world hockey championships will be played in Montreal and the second half in Winnipeg, it was decided Sunday at the semi-annual meeting of the Canadian Amateur Hockey Association.CAHA president Fred Page of Vancouver said the first- 15 games will be played in the Montreal Forum and the next 15 in Winnipeg, home of Canada's national team.Toronto, Ottawa, Vancouver and Quebec City bids for the tournament were rejected by the CAHA;Ilie executive of the CAHA also approved a proposal for a transatlantic hockey league comprising the national teams of Canada, Russia, Czechoslovakia, Sweden and the United States. The proposal will be passed along to the International Ice Hockey Federation for consideration at a meeting in Grenoble, France, late this month or early next.Gordon Juckes, executive-di-rector of the CAHA, said a schedule for the 1970 world • championships, has yet to bedrawn up.
