The. best of the varsity and fresh-1 men athletes will he seen in ac-i tion, and it will be an excellent chance for Iowa followers to gam some idea of the caliber of varsity team membeis.Keen Competition The track races open to any m?n in the University, are the 50* jard high hurdles and 50-yard low hurdles. Roberts, Taxman, Cuhel-D. Smith. Beatty and several others will fight for honors in the short dash while the hurdles will bring together Cuhel, Beatty, L- Phelps Boice, Mann,'' Allison, and Moore as the outstanding men. oIowa's quartet of good shot-put* c ters will show their skill in this event. OPtaln Dauber, one of the outstanding men in the country will have as his supporting castE. Kelson, the sophomoroe football man; C. Mau and V. Rapp in addition to several lesser^ lights.BOyie* After. Record An exhibition of pole vaulting of the bept will result when Jaeikl1Coyles, holder of the University recort of 12 feet 4 7-S inches, goesafter the armory mark ot 12 feet, 9 1-10 inches now in possession of Brownell, the Illinois vaulter. Mullens,. Oransky and other aspirants will endeavor to keep him company as the cross-bar rises, O. Thomas, joint bolder of the state championship, will do some good high jumping as will R.
