World Record Set During TB-2S0 Qualifying RunsALPENA lt;UPI) - PauJ Seguin of Alpena drove his Yamaha to what was believed to be a world record on a half-mile snowmobile track Sunday to capture the top qualifying spot in next weekend's Thunder Bay-250 snowmobile race.Seguin posted a time of 1:48,944, or an estimated 60.12 miles per hour, breaking a record he set a day earlier with 1:49,944. He will compete against a field of 34 other qualifiers in next Saturday's race, which offers $14,000 in prize money.With Sunday's performance, Seguin pushed Gene Denman of Acme out of the lead for the race, the start of the 1977 triple crown of snowmobiling. Time trials were scheduled to continue tonight.Denman, also aboard aYamaha, posted a time of 1:49,357, or an estimated 65.845 miles per hour.Rounding out the top five were Jerry Adamowski of Essexville, 1.50.577; Dan Kirts of Elkhart, Ind., 1,50.875; and Dave Yarhouse of Evart,1.52.486.Although Yarhouse, last year’s triple crown winner, captured fifth place he will not be able to compete this year because of an injury hesuffered Thursday when he lost control of his snowmobile and it smashed into a wall.He was recovering at Alpena General hospital from surgery for multiple leg fractures and was expected to be out of theracing circuit for the rest of the season.Terry Spencer of Burton was also eliminated in Sunday’s qualifying when his Arctic CatCAROL SUEDNEW YORK (UPI) - Actress Carol Lawrence, who starred in West Side Story, was sued for $125,000 by her former manager Wednesday for money he says she owed him for nearly 13 years.Harry Romm of Miami Beach said in papers filed in State Supreme Court in Manhattan that the 42-year*old actress has refused to pay him $75,000, or 15 per cent of her gross income while he was her manager and another $50,000 for his expenses.hit a post and slammed into a fence.
