Road-Plagued Ravens WillChallenge K’Roos TomorrowBy MICKEY PARMANWith a road record of 3-5 after Saturday’s loss to Marymount, the Benedictine College Ravens face four more touring testa before returning to North Campus.Tomorrow night will find the Ravens, 7-6 on the season and 4-2 in District 10 play, in Kansas City at Kemper Arena. The game is an early one, set for 5:30 p.m. against the University of Missouri • Kansas City Kangaroos.It will be the first half of a doubleheader, with the pro Kansas City Kings taking on the Golden State Warriors in the second contest.BC and the ’Roos have been meeting only two years and have a 2-2 deadlock going. UM-KC was one of the top teams in Missouri NAIA District 16 last year and was rated in preseason polls. Currently, the team is coming off a Saturday night win over Evangel, 91-70.Larnell Mitchell and Tom Rowan led scoring for BC Saturday night but it could just as easily have been any one of six other players. Coach Tom Colwell has found all of his topeight players able to take up the shooting slack when others are cut off.Leading in team statistics is Mike Ziesel at a 12.3 ppg. He also averages 5.7 rebounds and has 36 assists. In averages, Ziesel, a senior guard, is hitting 56 per cent from the field and 89 per cent from the line.Freshman Kirby Foray, junior Mitchell and freshman Joe Salanky all are averaging in double figures at 11.3, 11.1 and 10.4 respectively. Salanky leads all rebounding with a 6.6 average and has 38 assists. Foray hits at 80.4 from the field and 68.4 from the line. He has 23 assists and 3.2 rebounds. Mitchell, improving his shooting from earlier, is up to 40 per cent from the field and 55.6 from the line with 24 assists and 3.2 rebounding.Almost in double figures at 9.7 is junior Bill Kolich. He is second in rebounding at 6.3 and has 30 assists to go with his 48.1 shooting from the Held and 60 per cent from the line.Tom Rowan, the third freshman starter, has the most assists at 44, averages 7.6 ppg and 4.4 rebounds. Jim Hendricks, junior, is hitting 6.3 ppg and Terry Mapes, senior, 3.3.Benedictine was out-rebounding opponents earlier but has not been able to keep up that average in games against Missouri Western, Drury and Marymount.
