CARNIVAL OF PUGILISM.lan Stewart Sayi There Will He One al Canon City Next Spring,New York, Jan. If).—Dan A. Stuart, who arrived in this city yesterday from Nevada, said that Carson Cjty will have another pugilistic carnival next spring. Stuart is satisfied that the law permitting finish fights in Nevada will not be repealed, and it is the only place in the country where fistic contests can be foug'lit to a finish. He said that while in Carson he examined plans for a new athletic club house, approved them, aud that work on the building will begin next week.*‘I have two fights in my mind for the carnival,’ he said. ‘They are a heavyweight battle between the winner of the Jeffries-Rulilin contest at Cincinnati in February, and Bob Fitzsimmons, and a bout between Terry McGovern and a leading English or Australian featherweight. I am convinced that Fitzsimmons will fight again.
