The Little Whirlwind Given theMatch By the Referee.AN INTENSELY EXCITING CONTESTComstock Wins the Second Fall in tne Alosi Exciting Boat EverSeen in the State.THE AUDIENCE DISSATISFIEDThe moat exciting wrestling match and athletic exhibition ever seen m the state was held last night at the Grand Opera House. The audience was large.The entertainment opened with two rounds of scientific sparring between the Mohring Bros. The boys appeared in tiesh colored tights and did some clever work. Dude Christopher and Jim Allen, the black diamonds in the rough, hammered each other all over the stsg3 for two rounds, while the audiencecheered.FIRST ROUND, WRESTLING.The first round of the great wrestling match between Tom Connors, the little demon from Milwaukee, and J. C. Com stock, the big, gool natured giant from Michigan, followed, Owen Marley acted as referee. Both men were stripped to the skin with the exception of trucks. Little Connors looked very slender by the side of. his huge limbed iopponent, Comstock showed splendid muscular development.The taro men shook hands and then in an instant siezed each other with the neck and shoulder hold. Comstock dropped to his knees pulling the little fellow with him. Then followed a beautiful contest. Every hold Known to scientific wrestlers was brought into play. Head spins, side rolls and bndges were used and both men strained every nerve. It was a terrific round and those who anticipated a fake were very badly disappointed. Connors showed super* ior wind and finally with a sudden side roll landed Comstock squarely on his two shoulders.The audience cheered and waved their hats a3 the men retired to their coruers. O'Brien, Connors’ second, picked his principal up on his shoulders I and carried him cfl the stage.Owen Marley and Ed King came on aid | put up a very pretty sparring contest. Marley is big and cool and seemed a trifle too clever for King, who nevertheless put up a very pretty exhibition. Both men were cheered.Christopher and Allen gave another lugging match. The Aiohriogs in their reliued acrobatic specialties were wonderfully clever and were twice encored.It would be hard to find their superiors.
