BEATEN BY KrCttKOND,The Healey Polo team of Richmond ! hied themselves to this City yester-day and taught the Princess team, of this city, the scientific points Of the great game of refined shinny. The visitors were materially aided in the good work by rubber toes ou their skates, which enabled them to stop short while going at full speed, while the Port Wayne boys depended on the old fashioned way of banging against the sides of the rink or sliding sideways to atop their rushes. All things considered the Fort Wayne team did good work individually, but their team work was yellow. The Richmonds played together perfectly and few misplaya -were scored again9t them. The visitors* goal tender is fat and has big feet, and but once did -the rubber get through him. The home boys made some pretty trys for goal but it was no use; the Richmond goal man stuck out one of his ponderous -feet and the ball caromed off, generally into the mitt of a Henley- The game was witnessed by about 300 people. John Dougall acted as referee and collision post and satisfied both players and spectator* in both capacities. The score was 3 to 1.
