Kelly, a pugilist, whose right name is said to ho Thomas Waldron, who, until recently, was an agent for the company. Dr. Illehartl Jahr, a West Hoboken physician and formerly medical examiner In Union I-llll for the company, went to police headquarters,but after making a statement whs not placed under arrest. Secretary and Manager Ernest Hoppen-heimcr of the insurance company said he did not think Dr. Jahr had been guilty of a criminal intent, hut had beon careless in signing papers presented by Kelly. Martin, Kelly and Nocker wore each released on f 1,000 bail.An indictment had boon found against the four men on tlio charge that they had conspired to secure insurance on the life of Robert Brenner, a hoy of 27, who was Hie brother of Martin’s wife. The insurance was secured in August last, when Brenner was an inmate of Bellevue hospital. Martin was the beneficiary, Brenner's' application had been secured by Kelly as agent; he had been exam 1 nod and passed by Dr. Jahr, and Ills body had been buried by Neclter, the undertaker. It was charged that Brenner was dying with consumption when the policy was granted. It is reported that there-ore other suspected eases.
