The best any challenger — the 3rd Inf Div Marnemen — could end up with is 37.Points are awarded on a 10-7-4-2 basis.the Defenders picked up 20 of their points Friday afternoon when Raymond Reed, a husky 18 0-pounder from Oklahoma City, and John. Rogers, who weighs considerably less (105.5 pounds), each won their respec-rr■ntithe weight classes,Reed hadn’t wrestled sisinceThursday afternoon, but last year’s . champibn in the 220-pound class notched the 180.5-pound title by having defeatedthe only other remaining entries diviin his division.Rogers had an even easier time. The Sumpter, S.C., native won the 105.5 title without everwalking on a mat when his only8thcompetitor, Tom Huff of the Inf Div Pathfinders, failed to make the weight limit.Three other wrestlers were virtually assured of their division crowns. Only a pin by their opponents Friday night could keep Olympian Rich Tamble of VII Corps, James Homan of 3rd Inf Div and Richard Harper of 8th Div from the 125.5, 220 and unlimited class titles, respectively.Tamble, who was to meet Don Armsey of the 4th Armd Div for the 125.5-pound championship, disposed of Defender Keith Denison, the 1970 USAFE champion,in 3 minutes, 15 seconds Thursday night to all but lock up his class title..Homan, a veteran of All-Army competition, was to meet Pathfinder Richard Weber for the 220-pound title.
