Odds ’n’ EndsAfter all the hullaballo over whether Bohhy C jTers of; Kingsport or Bobbv Price of Sparta holds the state high , school football scoring record, somebody comes up with a, new candidate. Clyde (Dixie) Roberts, who played for McMinnville nigh in 1928. reportedly scored 210 points in, nine games to overshadow Cifers’ 235 in 1938 anti Price s 224 in 1954. Incidentally, Price’s mark was considered the record until the Times-News published Cifers total . . . Rogersville now holds 19 straight victories and people are wondering just how good the Warriors are That s a question that probably won t be determined until tournament time, but right now. at least three teams “iild protebly lake the measure of the Warriors—Kingsport, Holston \ alley and Happy Valley. Rogersville meets neither in the regular season, but could run into all of them in the l egion-al tournament at Johnson City . . Incidentallly,^the- tournament dates are: District I, at Kingsport, February -1 through Februarv 26: Region I, aL Johnson City, February! 28 through March 5; and State, at Memphis, March 8 through March 12. ______
