Cassidy who has been on the coU at his last two wins will be the jockey again.Cassidy handles Crag Son perfectly.There is no doubt that Crag Son does better lor Cassidy, who rides him in his trackThey are Shelagh Gaddum and Jacob de Silva.• Sprint swimmer Shelagh Gaddum has been undisputed champion of Ceylon for three years.She has never won a race rimply because there are no opponents for her in Ceylon, where competitive swimming is non-existent.Shelagh, an attractive blonde, has been coached by Harry Nightingale, of Bondi, who has been in Ceylon for the past 22 months.Nightingale has accompanied the Ceylon team as official coach.Miss Gaddum. whose parents are English, is regarded by Nightingale as a swimmer with a great future, and a potential finalist in the 110 yards freestyle at the Games.She is a most versatile sportswoman, being a useful hockey and tennis player, and she opened the innings for Ceylon against the last English women’s cricket team to visit Australia.Colombo has two swimming pools, the Colombo Swimming Club, exclusive to Europeans, and the Otters Aquatic Club, open to all swimmers.• Little de Silva, a 20-year-old student, is 5ft 2in tall and weighs 7.0.Despite his lack of brawn, he apparently is not wanting in pluck, as he plays Rugby Union right through the rainy season in Ceylon —as a hooker.De Silva has been running three years and has clocked 2min lor 880 yards.On the trip to Australia de Silva’s constant companion was 6ft 3in tall freestyle swimmer Douglas Arndt, a medical student.Apart from his heart the only big thing about de Silva is the size of his feet —he takes size seven shoes.He is not over-optimistic about his chances against the bigger fellows at the Games but is hoping to gain experience foi the Asiatic Games in August.* MidgetBRIGHT FINISH IN SHIELDSouth Australia's last four wickets added a lively 68 runs in 61 minutes in the Shield game at SCO today before NSW won by an innings and 41 runs.Bruce Bowley.
