The victories boosted Sembach to within one game of the front running Rams.Giebelstadt, meanwhile, spanked the Darmstadt Comets Friday, 79-49, then followed with a 65-55 overtime triumph over Wiesbaden to vault past the Flyers into third place in the conference stadings.Dynamic Chick Shackewyck sparked the Falcons’ attack and again proved his value by controlling the boards in both contests.Ramstein rolled over Hahn Friday, 96-80, to remain unbeaten in league play. Also hitting double figures for Ramstein were Joe Williams with 12 points while Junior Blanks and Jerry Curtis chipped in 10 apiece.Ray Lucien was top man for the Hawks with 27 points followed by Jay Ramalho with 25 and Dave Fuller who canned 13.Berlin also broke onto the war path with a pair of victories over the Eifel Mountain teams of Spangdahlem and Bitburg in the Divided City. The Braves scalped the Pioneers 78-63 on Friday, then recorded their third straight triumph with a 92-70 massacre of the Barons.In the top weekend series, Sem-bach’s Lippincott poured in 27 points as the Tigers clawed Rhine-Main. He was aided in the attack by V. H. Joslin with 18Gene Horne’s 14, Pete _ who netted 12 and BillKnight with 10.Tom Huggins led the Rockets’ scorers with 19 counters while Eddie Williams and Carlos High-smith had 12 each.On Saturday, Lippincott again registered 27 points as the Tigers roared away from a one-point lead at halftime to a 14-point bulge late in the secondhalf. Lippincott led the second-half surge and also pulled in 28 rebounds for the winners.Other Sembach scorers included Crump with 21, Knight who had 20, Willie Bedford with 13points,Crumpwhile Joslin canned 10.Lucier garnered 33 markers for Hahn while Ramalho netted 16, Fuller, 14 and Abe Johnson, 13.Shackewyck proved too much for anyone to handle in Giebel-stadt’s twin victories. Controlling the boards throughout thecontests and contributing 28 points to the attack, Shackewyckdominated the Falcons triumph over Darmstadt on Friday. Also hitting for the Falcons were Ed Oliver with 16 markers, Roy Witthoft who had 15 and Joe Steiner with 10.’arshall Pickens once again led the Comets, sinking 13 counters while Earl Medlock had 11.In the Falcons thrilling overtime victory over Wiesbaden, Shackewyck and Steiner netted all the points in the overtime session as Giebelstadt ran away from the Flyers, 65-55. The score was deadlocked at the end of regulation play, 52-52.Shackewyck proved his value again during the extra stanza by grabbing every rebound, limitingthe Flyers to one shot at a timefrom the floor. In fact, Wiesbaden was able to garner but three free throws in the overtime session.Charley Parks was top man for Wiesbaden with 16 points.
