LARRY WAYNE COLLINSLarry Wayne Collins, 69, Ottawa, Kansas, passed away Jan. 8,2016.Mr. Collins’ life will be honored and celebrated Thursday, Jan. 14, 2016, with a visitation 6 p.m. to 7.30 p.m. at Lamb-Roberts Funeral Chapel. Ottawa, Kansas. Inurnment will be held at Leavenworth National Cemetery.Larry was born Aug. 22,1946, in Kansas City, Missouri, to Wayne Edwin and Beulah Lucille (Beers) Collins.Larry graduated fromhigh school at Shaw nee Mission North.Larry served his country in the United States Army as a senior console operator in the Data Processing Division, 2nd Logistical Command. He was the Master of Ancient Free and Accepted Masons, Mound City Chapter No. 33. Larry was also a member of the Floor Layers Union No. 1179 and vice president of Board of Trustees for the Ottawa Senior Center.Larry was a martial arts instructor. He became a third degree black belt under Grandmaster Daniel K. Pai.He owned several dojos including Mystic Dragon and K.C. Fire Dragon of Overland Park. Kansas, and most recently Dragon Way Martial Arts in Ottawa, Kansas.Surviving family include his son, AaronCollins of Emporia, Kansas; three daughters, Stacy Latessa and husband. Matt, of Lagrange. Ohio, Tamra Collins of Manhattan, Kansas, and Laura Collins of the home; a step-son, Chuck Young of Lenexa, Kansas;two granddaughters;a brother, Terry Collins and wife, Pamm. ofLee’s Summit, Missouri; a sister. Debbie Hoodand husband, Kent, of Gladstone, Missouri; -, three nieces, Bridgette. Bywater, Trisha Carnahan, and Alicia Thomas; three nephew's, Mike .: Collins, Chris Collins, and Brian W?ilkersoni He was preceded in death by his parents^*.
