KRVCKA, Ccurt of Queon’s Bench of Albecta, b«bved husband of B^verlc)* Kryczka^ of Ca]* gary» passed away at the PooMis Hospital on January 11, l^l, at the age of SS yeara.Mr. Justice Kryczka is also survived by his children; Patrick of Toronlo, John and his wife Claire of Toronlo, Tony, Mary Jo and Joel all of Calgary.He is also survived by granddau^lt; Cei Heather Rose of Toronto, nis molher Mrs. Mary Kryczka of Calgary brother Ted andsister-in*Idw VI Kryczka of Oolen^an, Alberta.1^ was predeceased by his father Joseph in 1^1 and a brother Adam inim.Mr. Justice Kryczka was bom in Colemao, Alberta an June 4, li^S. He graduated from high school with honours in 1953. He aitended the Udver-sity of Alberta, receiving his law d^rce in 1958. Duruighis University years, he was very active in Sludent Council and served as President ot the Law Club and Political Science Club. Joe was awarded the Umversily cf Alberta Gold Ring for outstanding scholastic achievemHit. He was also very active in University sports. Upon graduation he was the sole recipient of the l^ome Calhoun Memorial Award presented for ouUlandingcoDtribulions to Student activities. Ko practised law in Calgary from 1958 to 1903. He was aopoint^ Queen's Counsel in 197S ana was appointed Justice of the Court of Queen^s Bench of Alberta in 1980. Justice Kryczka is ^iPresident otthe Calgary BoosterClub, the Alberta Amateur Hockey Association, and the Canadian Amateur Hockey Assoclalion. He was (firman and Oiiet Hegolialing Officer of the Canadian-Russld Hockey Series in l?72. In im Joe was named a Director Vice Tresidezit of Legal and Ocvernment Affairs for the Celery Olympic Develc^mer.t Associa* boo aniwas a memberof the ten man *'fiid Team'' which was successful in obtaining the 19B8 Olympic Winter Games in Calgary.He was a life member of the Alberta and Canadian Amateur Hockey Associaticm, a Life Directorof Ibe Calgary Booster Club, and a Director of the Earl Grey Golf and Count^ Club.
