Miniota 8 Shoal Lake 3 The Miniota Night Hawks so far this season seem to have the Eagles number as they won at home and again in Shoal Lake 8-3 on January 9.Darren Sitter and Jerry Cole scored two each for Miniota who scored five unanswered goals in the second period and another two in the third to clinch the win.Jeff Ross, Darcy McKean, Allan Walker and Stan Hill added singles for the winners.Bryan Hladun, Gary Findlay and Dennis Nychuk replied for Shoal Lake, which led 3-1 after the first twenty minutes.The Eagles were assessed 10 of 19 minor penalties.Sioux Valley 12 Kenton 5 In Kenton on January 9, Fraser Taylor scored three goals to pace Sioux Valley Dakotas to a 12-5 win over the Cougars.Also scoring for the winners were Harold Blacksmith, Ken Essie, Stu Chalmers, Robert Chalmers, Darryl Bunn, Rollie Bunn, Rod Tacan, Stacy Pratt and Ron Bone.Wayne Crampain and Brian Allan had two goals each for Kenton.
