Winning at national-caliber events from the tight enduros of t he east to the wide-open spaces of the western desert, I)avis racked up AMA National Championships and captured the respect of tellow racers across the nation.Bom in Bakersfield, Calif., in 1969 and raised in I iesperia, I )avis was encouraged by his father to start riding at an early age. Despite his dad’s affinity for desert racing, Davis say s there was no pressure for him to start cornpetingat a young age.I )avis was a top regional amateur mot(xrosser,1987, then the 1250c and25OCC TransCal Series cliampionships in 1988. I lehas a relentless passion fortrouble shooting bikes and making them run to theirhighest performance.He has developed topriders such as Nathan Woods, Gary Sutherlin, Russ Pearson, Jamie Lanza, Sherri Cruse, Cory Graf-funder, Bobby Garrison, Kiayne Thompson, and now Dalton Shirey.Davis has participated and designed challenging tracks such as Glen Helen’s Endurocross section (Ty’s Tower of Fear was used in several races),The Last Dog Standing, and JBC Endurance Series.In 2014 Davis was hiredto design the Endurocross track for the So Cal MC Adelanto Grand Prix.
