A well known sporting man of El Paso showed The Herald representati* e a letter from .lack Stelzner of Denver, in which he asks what chance he would have for a boxing match in El Paso during the Carnival. It will he remembered that Stelzner trained Fitzsimmons for his fight with Maher here in El Paso several years ago and he is quite anxious for a go with some heavy weight. Word nas been received that Dan Agan. “the Montana Kid”, will also be here and the sporting men are now trying to get some heavyweight from Hot Springs to meet Stelzner. An effort was made to get Australian Billy Smith to take Stelzner on for a six round go but Billy savs that his fighting days are over but that he will have a son in the ring within a few years.
