Milwaukee Torn Verein.A general meeting of the members of the Milwaukee Turn Verein, was hold Thursday evening at *furn Hall. The buccgbb that has attended the Milwaukee turners during the paBtyear, in winning the first prizes at the National Fesfc in New York, gave them additional prestige, a*d the prosperous condition of the finances of the Booiety, as well as the large attendance was a source of gratification to all.At the beginning of the last year there were 420 pupils in attendance; the number has now increased to 515. In the drawing school there are 78 pupils. On the 1st of January, 1875, there were only 30; un increase of 48 in one year.On the 1st of Jiinuory, 1875, there wore 303 members. The books now show a tot.il membership of 34G, an addition of -13 daring the year. During the year 2 members died, and 1 moved away. 9The finances showed on equal improvement. During the year the receipts amounted to §3,177.45, with the balance on hand of §427.91, making a total fund of §3,605.36. The disbursements were §2,872.96, wfiich loaves ft balance of §732.40.There are now in tlid library 1,109 volumes, of this number G78 books were presented.Tlio following officers were elected:Firstfycahrr—Goo.
