Vernon, III., 104-84 last Monday night. Five Warriors were in double figures in their highest scoring perform-ance of the season. Sparked by a 17 point production by Don Diver, 5-10 freshman guard, the Warriors moved to he front early and with less than four minutes elapsed in the first half, had grabbed 12 point lead, 15-3. The Warriors led all the way en-route to thelr% fifth win of the season. They stretched their lead to 15 points mid-way through the first half and at the half way mark led by 24 po-ints, 61-37. The Warriors rea-ched the century mark with one and one half minutes remaining to play and at that point lead 100-77.With a sparse hometown crowd awatching the action, the Warriors conncted on 38 of 58 attempts from the field for a .559 and scorched the nets from the free throw line cashing in on 28 of 32 for a .877 percentage.Bob Johnson backed up Div-er’s performance with 15 points all coming in the first half.
