In addition to having the top average, Ron also won the trophy for having slugged the most home runs in the league.MacKenzie played junior ball at Red Deer, and also at Kin-dersley, Saskatchewan. Besides fastball, he plays goal in hockey and last winter stopped a lot of rubber for the Manning Comets of the North Peace Hockey League.Honorable mention for fastball achievement last season would be shared by two members of the RCMP club, Brian Honke and Don Lowe, and the league’s most valuable player, Terry Carter, of the league championship IGh Goodguys.
