Large catches of walleyes have been reported near Livermore. Northern, walleyes and a few bass have been taken from the Des Moines river south of the Corn Belt power steam plant southeast of Humboldt, below the point where the east and west branches of the Des Moines river join.Not many flathead catfish are caught in the -Des Moines river in Hymboldt county. Most of the catfish caught in tbis river are the blue channel type.Rites HeldViolet O. Campin, 73, a retired school teacher and resident of St. ltegis, Mont, died in Missoula Community hospital.Vjolet Campin was born in Dakota City, Iowa attended school there at the old red brick school house and then became a hand compositor for the Humboldt Independent, then published in Dakota city. Later she set type for the Humboldt Republican. While still a young woman she moved to North Dakota and was married to William R. Campin. They lived in Westhope and Minot, and later in Sentinal Butte.Mrs. Campin worked as a hand compositor, at the Westhope Standard.Survivors include her daughter and son, Mrs. Edison (Marion) White, St.* Regis, Mont., Reginald W. Campin of Blaine, Wash., two sisters: Mrs. Olive J*ierry and Mrs. Fern Pitts, both of Dakota City, Iowa, and four grandchildren.Interment was made in the Westhope cemetery, where Mr. Campin is buried.Musselman Home Burns to Ground Friday EveningThe Earl Musselman farm home* was Completely destroyed by fire Friday evening. Their home is 2 miles south. 6 miles west, 1 mile south ami 3/4 mile west of Humboldt, on rural route one out of Gilmore City.The Musselmans were away from home during the afternoon. When they returned and opened the door of the house the flames were sweeping through the building. .The Ilumboldt fire department was called but the fire was beyond control and the house burned completely,The Musselmans had just remodeled the home.
