Arthur Moers passed sensationally and was a dangerous, elusive runner; while Robert was one of the fastest safety men in the race, in addition to being a spectacular pass receiver and an adequate punter. Glen Parmley was the spark plug of the Arbur Sturban aggrega tion, which man for man was just about the best team put on the field all fall. He shone both defensively and offensively, being an especially hard runner. Allen Conner, who drew the fullback posi tion, was a steady player in all departments of the game and out punted every opponent he met. Lon Goldstein and Pat Pickett, the ends, were death on pase re ceptions, besides being hard chargers on the defense. Goldstein also contributed several points to the total scores of Mergele House through his dropkicking proclivities, being selected to make the most of his team’s tries for extra point. James Davenport and Hagan McMahon, the guards, displayed all season an aptitude for playing in the opponents’ backfields, deal ing plenty of misery to passers by their rushing tactics as well as stopping many running plays before they started. Milton Curtis, the center, made hardly a bad passback during the year, in addition to carrying out his blocking assignments on the offense in the most ef fective and desired manner.
