Stonewall Flyereftes Undefeated. *Stonewall Flyerettes, bolstered with eight Winnipeg girls journeyed to Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan to participate in a girlshockey tournament staged December 27th and 28th.Coach * Bill McGuire, of Stonewall told the Argus-Times that Stonewall won their first two games by shut-outs over Moose Jaw Cecil Sabres and Regina Rebels. They won their final game 8-2 over Melfort Missiles.Star of the final game was Lynn Sobkowicz. Dawn McGuire won the tournament’s ‘‘Hustle ,and Sportsmanship” Award. • Heather McQueen was a close , second for the latter award.In the three games, Stonewall outshot their opposition 159-25 and outscored the three Saskatchewan teams 48-2.Jane Van Santen was creditted tor 11 saves in the Stonewall net while Judy Grandmont stopped 14 and allowed two goals.Top point getter for theof Moose JawStonewall roster was Dawn McGuire, who scored eight goals and assisted on ten others. Sandra Rice scored six goals and assisted on six others; Pat Flesh was 6-3; Cathy Cunningham 6-6; Marilyn Kube 5-4; . Dani Sobkowicz 4-2; Susan Sobkowicz 3-5; Lynn Sobkowicz 4-3; Marlene Wagar l-l; Jane McDonald 1-2; Kathy McGuire 3-4; Sandy McGuire 0-4; and Heather McQueen 1-6.Congratulations to the Stonewall Flyerettes on bringing home the tournament championship trophy.
