Giant Crowd Expected For AM’s Winter Sports DinnerMembers of the 1956 Southwest Conference championship foot-1 ball team and the cross country team will be honored Saturday night when the annual Winter Sports Banquet is held at Texas AM. Between 500 and 600 people are expected to be present for the event, which will be held at Sbisa Hall at 7 p.m.Guest speaker for the event will be Bo Rowland, former coach at Georgetown, Oklahoma City and other schools and one of the outstanding after-dinner speakers of the nation, and Morris Frank of Houston will be the master of ceremonies.Special awards will be presented to a number of members of the football squad, including the International News Service All-American award to Charlie | Krueger and the Houston Post’s I outstanding back award to JackPardee. Shelby Scates of INS j will present the award to Krue- i ger and Clark Nealon, Post Sports Editor, will present the award to Pardee.Several individual awards, the winners to remain secret until the banquet, will also be pre-; sented members of the football squad, the first Aggie team to win the conference grid title since 1941.Tickets for the banquet are now available at Jarrott’s Pharmacy, Black’s Ridgecrest Pharmacy and Ellison’s Pharmacy. lt;Dinner music will be furnished by Marge Crumbaker and the i Mori Twins, a Houston musical 1 organization, and music for the ] dance, which will follow the 1 banquet, will be provided by the 1 Aggieland Orchestra. 1For Classified Ads — TA 2-1336
