Coolidge Autograph on Baseball PrizedKeepsake of DoanMi—Thursday telling ofo deaththe death of Calvin Coolidge, 30thpresident of the United States, recalled vividly to Ray Doan, 719Pine street, experiences of thexpesummer of 1928, at which time President Coolidge threw the first baseball in the Head of the Lakesbaseball tournament Doan sponsored at Superior, Wia.Not only did President Coolidge officially open the tournament, but he also autographed abaseball for Mr. Doan, which hassince been a prized possession. Mrs. Coolidge also signed thekeepsake.President Coolidge, Mrs- Coolidge and their son John occupieda special box at the openinggame.Transparent tape has been placed over the prised signaturesto prevent their obliteration.
