Pendleton was| sought by Pittsburgh club but Brooklyn was reluctant to make deal with tho sharp Branch Rickey who has thorough knowledge of every man in the Brooklynorganization. The Pirates werewilling to trade 20 game wipner Murray Dickson for Pendleton, another shortstop, a pitcher and an outfielder!
