Z.—Governor Yntos threatened to on 11 out troops'to prevent a prize fight hi Beividcde Fri-day night. For some months the Crescent Athletic dub lias been giving exhibitions. At the last show there was fierce fighting and one or two knockouts.-A mass meeting of citizens was held and a Jaw and orritr league formed. Alderman Sari, president of the league, advised Governor Yates that a prize fight was advertised for Friday night.Governor Yates wired back that he would, .call out troops to prevent the fight if the sheriff did not act. After this threat the promoters of the exhibition met a committee composed of seven members of the city council and agreed to call o Jfthe boxing bouts if . no objections were offered to having a ; wrestling contest. The aldermen ■ agreed, and the wrestling matches took place.There are minors that the prize fight will be pulled off somewhere else.'
