San Francisco Fight Followers Not .Pleased at Jeffries' Match.San Francisco. Cal.. Jan. 2. — The general opinion among sporting- men here is that the fight between Sharkey and Jeffries will be a dismal failure from a financial point of view. The sailor has a had name here owing to his affair with Fitzsimmons. 11 -is not believed f»00 persons would pay to see him fight anyone and he is considered to he so far outclassed by Jeffries that a mill between them would, ho looked upon with suspicion. A sporting man who is very familiar witli the situation said:•'There is no use talking—the people will not stand for Sharkey. They feel not in a mood for another hippodrome, between Jeffries and Ruhlin and are that they wore bunkoed in the battle drawing card in a match with Jeffries is Fitzsimmons. A fight between these men would prove a star attraction.Coffroth is partner of Jack Gleason and Jim Kennedy in the Twentieth Century club.
