Neah Bay in 54*42 winThe Neah Bay Red Devils with speed to burn, romped over the Port Angeles Rangers Friday night, 54-42 for their sev-enth victory of the season.Early baskets by Ted Noel and Paul Hayte, coupled with the cold shooting of the ‘Rider sophomores, enabled the Devils to grab a 12-6 first quarter lead.With Glen Haltunen, John Me-Gimpsey and Keith Johnson giving the Rangers fits, the Red moved out to a 24-13 lead at the half. The Rangers went nearly five minutes in the quarter without a field goal.THE RANGERS CAME TO life a little bit in the second half, but the big lead piled up by the Reds was too much. It was 39-22 at the end of the thirdperiod.Keith Johnson’s 16 points and Paul Hayte’s 22 made the difference. Johnson was also quick as a cat and Hayte did a finejob around the boards.Tiny Arndt led the Rangers with 15. Gary Hussey hit for nine. The Rangers enter 1967 with a 5-4 record.
