The seconds claimed that Barry's hands were badly Injured and that it was useless for him to continue and suffer punishment. Barry, however, wanted to'continue, though he was completely exhausted and almost out in tlm previous round. 'Both Kauffman and Barry were badly punished but the former’s strength was undiminished. The contest from the standpoint of a scicentlftc boxing match was one of tho very poorest that has been staged in years. Neither roan showed championship material, although Barry exhibited gameness and cleverness. There was much clinching throughout the fight and the audience grew very tired before thecontent bad proceeded tea round*.
