That went for $4,000. And a thousand dollar gift certificate from T C Trenching went for two thousand,” he noted. “It really was amazing.”Lungal says there areno specific projects the board is targetting with the funds raised from theevening.“We're always struggling year to year to raise money and it was good to have an idea (for fund raising) from an outside source,” he noted. “We'll be using (the funds) tokeep the cost of our memberships down. To make improvements to the course we’ve had to tax our members more and more and also over the years, our debt has been growing bigger. We needed to do something to pay down that debt and to help our members.This will do that.Lungal says as well as putting a “good chunk” down on the club's debt, the board does have a few small projects on the going - fixing the #8 green being one of the major ones.“We're also going to be able to make somecourse improvements that we’ve been putting off for some time, because of the lack of funds.”Lungal says the board still can't get over the success of the auction.“It's really overwhelming, and a little humbling, to see suchtremendous support from the community,” he said. “Not just from everyone who donated items, but for every one who came out and supported us.“I'd like to pass on a big thank you on behalf of the board members to everyone in the community who supported us.
